January 2025 International Exchange Salon Accompanying Percussion Sound for Kabuki Let’s learn about “Tsukeuchi”！
CCIEA holds a monthly International Exchange Salon that provides an opportunity of communication between foreigners and Japanese. In January, please join us for a special presentation, introducing a percussion sound performance called “Tsukeuchi” which accompanies Kabuki, the traditional Japanese dance-drama. Following the performance and teaching by the instructor, a hands-on opportunity will be available to learn about the heart and mind behind the techniques of Tsukeuchi. Discovering these enchanting sounds will help increase your understanding and enjoyment of Kabuki, and deepen your true appreciation of traditional Japanese performing arts.
