February 2023 International Exchange Salon Accompanying percussion sound for Kabuki Let’s learn about “Tuke Uchi” !
CCIEA holds International Exchange Salon that provides you with the opportunity of communication between foreigners and Japanese. In February, let’s learn about the special percussion sound called “Tsuke Uchi” which accompanies the traditional Japanese dance-drama, Kabuki. You will be taught the heart and mind behind the techniques of Tsuke Uchi through unique experiences. Discovering this enchanting sounds will lead you to real cultural appreciation of traditional Japanese performing arts.
※ In case of a large number of applicants, participants will be chosen by lottery on February 7, and informed by e-mail. If there are vacancies, we will continue to accept applications and post the information on our website.
